A first touchdown in the NFL for Antony Auclair

A first touchdown in the NFL for Antony Auclair

The Texans tight end caught an 11-yard pass from David Mills in the first quarter to give his team the lead.

Last season, the athlete from Notre-Dame-des-Pins played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The former Laval University Rouge et Or also won the Super Bowl with the Florida team, without having participated in the final match.

The Patriots (2-3) were trailing 22-9 in the third quarter when they started to power up.

Bill Belichick’s men cut the deficit to 22-15 thanks to two field goals from Nick Folk and tied the game when Mac Jones threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Henry.

Folk came back with another field goal to bring the final score to 25-22, in favor of New England.

The Falcons win the duel on London soil

Quarterback Matt Ryan racked up 342 yards through the air and completed two touchdown passes on Sunday as the Atlanta Falcons defeated the New York Jets 27-20 in a game marking the NFL’s return in London.

The Falcons (2-3) took a 20-3 lead at the half and managed to run out the clock even though they kept the Jets in the fight by committing two fumbles.

However, quarterback Zach Wilson and his Jets teammates (1-4) struggled to move the ball forward, just like the rookie quarterback has experienced since the start of the season.

Wilson completed 19 of 32 passes for 192 yards. He did not complete a touchdown pass and was the victim of an interception.

Tight end Kyle Pitts, the fourth player selected in the last draft, two spots behind Wilson, had his best game in the NFL. He caught nine passes for 119 yards and scored his first touchdown in the league.

Ryan completed 33 of 45 passes and had no interceptions.

Ty Johnson and Michael Carter scored second-half rushing touchdowns for the Jets.

Jameis Winston steps in and shines

Jameis Winston threw four touchdown passes and the New Orleans Saints beat the Washington Football Team 33-22.

Winston made every offensive play at quarterback for the first time this season after Taysom Hill suffered a concussion in the second quarter.

Winston threw a 72-yard touchdown pass to Deonte Harris, who also left the game with a hamstring injury. The Saints quarterback joined Marquez Callaway for two majors and Alvin Kamara for a touchdown.

Kamara also had a touchdown on a 23-yard run, as well as returning punts in Harris’ absence.

The Saints (3-2) intercepted two passes from Taylor Heinicke. They applied pressure on the Washington quarterback (2-3), after failing to sack Daniel Jones in a loss to the New York Giants.

Mason Crosby pulls himself together just in time to give the Packers the win

Mason Crosby hit a 49-yard field goal in overtime after missing three straight attempts and the Packers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 25-22 on Sunday.

Usually reliable, Crosby missed two potentially game-winning field goals with 2:12 and three seconds left in the game. He missed another in overtime before giving the win to his team.

Prior to the game, Crosby had made 44 of 46 field goal attempts since the start of the 2019 season. He also missed a touchdown convert during the game against the Bengals.

Bengals kicker Evan McPherson also missed two field goals that could have given his troops the win. The first with just 26 seconds to go and the second in overtime.

The Bengals (3-2) tied the game late in the fourth quarter. Ja’Marr Chase had a 19-yard catch and two plays later Joe Mixon scored a major on an eight-yard run. Quarterback Joe Burrow joined Tee Higgins on the two-point convert.

Crosby had an attempt from 36 yards with just over two minutes to go, but he sent the ball to the left of the posts. McPherson then complied, but the ball hit the right post with 26 seconds left.

Crosby missed again, from 51 yards, again on the left, after Aaron Rodgers threw a 20-yard pass to Davante Adams.

In overtime, Burrow had one of his passes intercepted by linebacker De’Vondre Campbell, but Crosby missed a third field goal, still on left.

McPherson had another chance, 49 yards out, and started the celebrations with keeper Kevin Huber, but the ball went wide left of the posts.

Rodgers threw two touchdown passes during the game to rank fifth in team history.

Tom Brady, still brilliant at 44

Tom Brady threw five touchdown passes to help the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fix the Miami Dolphins 45-17.

When he returned to Foxborough last week, Brady failed to throw a touchdown pass. This time he joined forces with Antonio Brown twice, Mike Evans twice and Giovani Bernard to score five majors by air.

The 44-year-old veteran completed 30 of 41 passes for 410 yards. Brady tied Peyton Manning for the second-highest career total in games with five touchdown passes (9).

The Tampa Bay squad scored 44 or more points for the fifth time since the start of the 2020 season. The Buccaneers had only achieved this feat five times in their first 44 years of existence.

Bills beat Chiefs 38-20

Josh Allen threw three touchdown passes and one himself by running, propelling the Buffalo Bills to a 38-20 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday night’s game.

This resumption of the last final of the American Conference had to be delayed for more than an hour due to lightning in the sky of Kansas City.

Josh Allen ended his night with 315 yards through the air. The Bills offense also got a helping hand from the defense as Micah Hyde had a rare interception against Patrick Mahomes before returning the ball into the end zone.

Emmanuel Sanders caught two touchdown passes for the Bills as Dawson Knox had 117 yards in addition to catching a touchdown pass.

This confrontation was highly anticipated, since last January, when the Chiefs dismissed the Bills who dreamed of reaching the Super Bowl. The duel also pitted two of the AFC’s most devastating attacks.

The Bills (4-1) have defeated the Chiefs (2-3) for only the second time in the last seven meetings between the two teams.

Mahomes passed for 272 yards, had two touchdown passes, and was the victim of two interceptions and a fly loss. The quarterback also led the way in rushing yards with 61 as the offense struggled to get going.

The Chiefs lost running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire to a knee injury early in the second half. Then, Travis Kelce also left the match at the end of the game after receiving a blow to the head.
