Pietro Milani, former basketball player, master of work, passed away after a long illness. Born in 1938, an employee of the Walker Zanger in Marina where he worked for decades as a sales manager, Milani was very attached to the profession to the point of attending its headquarters until March 2020, when he was enticed by the disease. An attachment to work that in 2008 earned him the star of merit, the coveted recognition reserved for employees in the private sector who stand out for their industriousness. He then joined the council of the consulate of masters where he distinguished himself for his commitment. But Milani’s name is also linked to basketball in the 60s when, first in the youth teams, then in the senior of Virtus, Amatori and Audax, he also arrived in Serie B. He was part of the team with Enrico Giacomelli, Elio Fabrizi, Marco Costi. His sporting commitment has also led him to the board of directors of the Veterans of Sport. Widower of his wife Lucia Lena, Milani leaves his children Daniele and Annalia, granddaughters Chiara and Ilaria. The funeral will be held tomorrow, at 3.30 pm in the church of the Santissima Annunziata di Marina. The family thanks all the staff of the Covid del Noa department, they do not ask for flowers, but for offers at the canteen of the Caritas in Marina.
