For several years now, every stance Isiah Thomas takes in the GOAT debate has rekindled his beef with Michael Jordan. Still author of a controversial choice vis-à-vis His Airness recently, the mythical leader of the Pistons brought back… Scottie Pippen in the discussion!
Even in an evening of the All-Star Game placed under the sign of good humor, they did not share the slightest smile, or even look for each other. Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas maintain an extremely cold relationship, more than 30 years after their last confrontation in the playoffs. According to some, this would also push the former Detroit point guard to take incomprehensible positions in all-time discussions.

Florent Groberg : It’s obvious that Isiah Thomas still has a grudge against MJ. His pitch is almost good, but no Isiah, I will always take a guy who has a record of 6 wins in 6 appearances in Finals, a guy who was the best defender and scorer in the league on several occasions. Just because the guy hates you doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take reality into account #SérieuxMec

Sure of himself in this new stance, IT should nevertheless not only receive approvals.
Thus, instead of making amends with Jordan, the Pistons legend once again prefers to minimize his talent, and even judges him inferior to Pippen in defense! However, even if the latter does indeed have 10 appearances in an All-NBA Defensive Team, one more than His Airness, he cannot however claim to have been elected Defender of the Year, at the reverse of its former leader!
Isiah Thomas continues his lynching of Michael Jordan, and now refuses to grant him even the title of best defenseman of the Bulls during his era. What degrade his image a little more with fans of Mike!
