The ‘green’ hit first, but the ‘leopards’ were always better, they came more and controlled the visiting attack.
Before the match, Atlético Bucaramanga came out with a white balloon in the protocol acts. In addition, a minute of silence was offered to commemorate Nickol Valentina Rodríguez, the minor murdered this week in the Mesón de los Búcaros.
In the first half of the commitment the ‘Leopard’ knew how to defend himself. At minute nine came the first opportunity for the locals, however, Dayro was late in the shot and missed the opportunity to go ahead on the scoreboard. At minute 15 the first goal of the game came, the ‘rifle’ Andrade scored it for the ‘greens’ with a shot that was born from a ‘double wall’ in conjunction with Fory, the ball deflected and ended up at the bottom of the goal.
Despite the score, the locals played better in the first few minutes, they pressed and overwhelmed, Jefferson Gómez and Bruno Téliz were the great ‘gladiators’ on the field. The Uruguayan defended, distributed well and gave the team a start. For minute 19 the reward arrived. The play was born from a center that was cleared by a visitor’s defender, but on the edge of the area, Téliz recovered with his left foot and finished off. The stadium erupted in jubilation.
The second goal came from the feet of Sherman Cárdenas, after taking advantage of an error at the exit of Nacional. Aldair Quintana was complicated in the goal kick, the ball fell to Fory who tried to clear it, but it was left to a rival and he gave it to Cárdenas who hit it to the left post. Superiority began to be seen in the ‘Leopard’ against an undecided Nacional that left many spaces.
For the next 45 minutes, Nacional tried to come out pressing and with the lines advanced. It cost Bucaramanga in the first minutes of the second half. He couldn’t find the ball and the visit pressed up. However, they kept their defensive lines well accommodated and Nacional did not find spaces.
Despite not being so incisive in attack during the first moments of the second half, in the 64th minute Bucaramanga attacked again with a shot by Sherman from medium distance with his left foot that went just above.
Just five minutes after his entry (minute 80), the youth squad Juan Marcelín scored the third for the local, from midfield he shot hard and his ‘countryman’ Kevin Mier, who replaced Quintana in the goal ‘green ‘, he had nothing to do. The ‘ole’ began to be sung in the stands of the Alfonso López.
At minute 84′ a goal play was annulled for Atlético Nacional. Andrade leaked a ball to Giovanni Moreno who raised it above Chaverra but the referee had already ‘whistled’ for the offside. At 89′ the ‘Leopardo’ missed the fourth goal with a ball thrown from behind to Gularte who defined it with his right leg and crossed, but the ball hit the right post.
The end of the match left a 3-1 victory for Atlético Bucaramanga, a team that shows improved tactics and attitude since the arrival of Amando ‘El Piripi’ Osma. With this victory, the local team adds 11 points and is located in box 12 of the standings.
