Shock moment for Franck Ribéry (38)!
As the “Gazzetta dello Sport” reports, the former Bayern star was involved in a car accident in Italy. Fortunately, the Frenchman, who now plays for Serie A club Salernitana, was not seriously injured.
Almost 40 kilometers from Salerno, Ribéry crashed into a traffic light pole as a passenger. The winger sustained a minor head injury and was taken to hospital.
His club said: “In a car accident, player Franck Ribéry, who was not behind the wheel, suffered a minor head injury. The player will take a few days off as a precaution.”
Ribéry switched to Salernitana last summer. In winter, the 2013 Champions League winner had already thought about the end of his career at the clubas his numerous injuries frustrated him.
He is in the middle of a relegation battle with the club. After 25 match days, Salernitana is on the last place in the table and ten points behind the saving place 17.
