The women were dressed up as cheerleaders and baseball teams at the carnival. They stood together in a circle on Trogenerstrasse between the bars and the party wolves’ marquee. As the cantonal police wrote in a media release, a firecracker suddenly exploded in the middle of the group. Three women between the ages of 22 and 25 were slightly injured. They went to the medical center on their own and received medical care there.
The cantonal police are looking for witnesses. Anyone with information about the incident or the perpetrators is asked to contact the Altstätten police station, Tel. 058 229 51 60.
