World ranking of clubs that earned the most in recent years has 7 Brazilians;  see the list

Flamengo, Grêmio, Fluminense, Santos, São Paulo, Athletico-PR and Vasco appear in a study by the CIES Football Observatory


O CIES Football Observatory specializes in surveys of young talent in world football. Last Monday (28), it was published a survey of the clubs that most profited from the sale of athletes between 15 and 21 years old from their base since July 2015.

O Benfica was the team that led the survey, with a profit of 379 million euros (R$ 2.182 billion) in transfers, with the departure of João Félix as the main sale in 2019 for the Atletico Madrid.

O top 5 still has Real Madrid in 2nd, with 330 million euros (R$ 1.9 billion), Monaco in 3rd, with 285 million (R$ 1.641 billion), Ajax 4th, with 283 million (R$ 1.629 billion), and Lyon in 5th, with 270 million (R$ 1.554 billion).

The best placed Brazilian in the ranking it’s the Flamengoin 15th position, with a profit of 147 million euros (R$ 846.6 million).

Vinicius Jr.negotiated in 2018 with Real Madrid, was the biggest sale of the Gávea team.

Rubro-Negro, by the way, appears in front of teams like Manchester City (18°) e Paris Saint Germain (25°) no ranking general, in addition to being only two positions below the Barcelona.

Santos (28th), with 113 million euros (R$ 650.79 million) in profit, Guild (29th), with 112 million euros (R$ 645.03 million), Fluminense (30th), with 109 million euros (R$ 627.75 million), and Sao Paulo (32nd), with 98 million (R$ 564.4 million), are other teams that feature prominently in the list.

There are still two other teams from Brazil on the list of 50 clubs made by the CIES Football Observatory:

Are they: Athletico-PRin 45th place, with 66 million euros (R$ 380.11 million) in profit, and Basquein 48th position, with 61 million euros (R$ 351.31 million).
