Likewise, World Taekwondo reported through its social networks that, following what was suggested by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), it also will omit the flag and anthem of Russia – and that of its ally Belarus – in all competitions.

“In solidarity with the IOC, no Russian or Belarusian flags or national anthems will be displayed or touched at World Taekwondo events. World Taekwondo and the European Taekwondo Union (EU) will not organize or recognize Taekwondo events in Russia and Belarus”, they detailed.
