As every year, from March 1, the FFTA allows people wishing to start practicing archery within a club to do so under preferential conditions thanks to the Discovery License.
This federal license allows people who have never been licensed to join one of the 1,600 clubs affiliated with the FFTA during the year.
With the return of sunny days and the upcoming reopening of club outdoor facilities, it’s time to offer your families and friends the opportunity to share good moments of relaxation within your club.
Remember that archery is a sport that is not only practiced in competition, it is good for your health with the possibility of practicing it on prescription for certain pathologies, it allows you to de-stress and therefore to feel better. In addition, it is aimed at a wide audience and it creates social ties.
To accompany this spring campaign, the federation has set up several operations to which beginner archers can be associated:
- Women’s Archery with Open Doors in many clubs from March 4 to 20
-
For young people, the “Share your Arrows” challenge from March 23 to April 17: The principle of this operation consists of the invitation by a young person “formerly” licensed, under the age of 18 in 2022 and already licensed in 2021 (or previous seasons), to introduce another young person to archery not licensed as a friend, family member, acquaintance. After an initiation, the two young people will compose a doublet and will be able to participate in the “Share your arrows” challenge. If the beginner has already taken his 2022 license, he can take part in the challenge.
- The Mixed Trophy for those who already practiced outside the federal framework and would be attracted by the competition with departmental events until April 18, 2022 and a National Final on May 28 and 29 in Chennevières sur Marne.
Discovery License allows club practice (only in the club that issued the license) and does not allow participation in official competitions. It is aimed at all age categories adults, young people, chicks. It is only available from March 1st of the current season for people who have never been dismissed from the FFTA.
