The under 13 of the PFV they conclude the preparatory phase of the Piedmont Cup with the home defeat against the battleship Castelnuovo Scrivia for 29-60, finishing in third place in the round of four teams, waiting for the championship.
The match, which started with a long delay on what was expected due to the referee’s non-arrival (yes, this also happens) was always led by the guests, a team that was more equipped and prepared than the home team.
The girls of Anastasiomoreover, they worked hard, showing clear progress that allowed them to slightly limit the opposing power by giving up, in the end, with a smaller gap than other matches.
The beginning it was the prerogative of the reds from Castelnuovo who in the 10th minute led on a score of 6 to 16, to arrive at the halfway point at 12-23, with the PFV still in the game.
Then in the recovery the guests, from the advantage gained, easily managed the match (24-38 to 30 ‘) to spread only in the last period (7-22) until the final “double”.
Now the very young of the PFV are awaited by the real regional category championship that will engage them from Sunday 6 March next until the second week of June. A great effort, which will last as long as it is hot.
In society it is hoped that this first experience of the “Cup” was useful to face the tournament with the right approach, more adequate and a slightly more complete preparation than the absolute debut ..
