FC Bayern Munich: Another round of talks with Christensen? Ginter probably not the first alternative
The search for a central defender is proving difficult for Bayern: Andreas Christensen should still be convinced despite tough competition.
Those responsible at FC Bayern Munich are apparently still trying to get Andreas Christensen signed. In the event of failure, Gleison Bremer should be the first alternative as a new central defender.
In the coming days there will be a report from Sport1 according to a round of talks between representatives of FC Bayern and Christensen. However, everything currently points to the 26-year-old Dane moving from Chelsea to Barcelona.
Christensen is reportedly already in agreement with Barca
Like the Spanish Sport reported he has even reached an oral agreement with the Catalans. His contract will be for four years. According to reports, he is demanding a doubling of his salary, which is currently just under five million euros.
Possible alternatives at FC Bayern are Gleison Bremer from FC Turin and Matthias Ginter from Borussia Mönchengladbach. According to Italian media, the free transfer Ginter has canceled the interested Inter Milan because he hopes to move to Munich. FC Bayern officials are not 100% convinced of the 28-year-old German national player.
Süle replacement wanted at FC Bayern
FC Bayern apparently prefers a commitment from Bremer, who, unlike Ginter, is not free of charge. The contract of the 24-year-old Brazilian runs until 2024. Bremer made 24 competitive appearances this season, at times he even acted as captain of eleventh in Serie A.
FC Bayern needs a new central defender because Niklas Süle is moving to Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer. The squad also includes Dayot Upamecano, Lucas Hernandez, Benjamin Pavard and Tanguy Nianzou.
