The horror reports from Ukraine do not stop. As has become known, the first footballers are among the numerous victims of the war.

The news broke on Wednesday morning Death of young biathlete Yevgeny Malyshev like wildfire, now the Ukraine war is claiming the next fatalities from professional sport. Vitalii Sapylo and Dmytro Martynenko lost their lives in Russian attacks. The players’ union FIFpro confirmed the sad incidents on their official channels.

He apparently died during a bomb attack at his parents’ home on the outskirts of Kyiv. Goalkeeper Sapylo played for former top club and current third division club Karpaty Lviv. The 21-year-old was killed in ground fighting near the Ukrainian capital.
