Accusation of the ex-girlfriend: investigations against Zverev expanded

In the ongoing investigation against Alexander Zverev for allegations of domestic violence, ATP called in an “independent third party with expertise in this area”.

This was confirmed by Andrea Gaudenzi, head of the player organization, in a Spox interview. Gaudenzi said he could not comment on the status of the investigation: “But I can say that we will provide more information when the investigation is complete.”

Ex-girlfriend Olga Sharypova alleges against Zverev

Gaudenzi now admitted that his organization had entered “new territory” with this step and that there was “pent-up demand”. “I’m glad that last year we did a very detailed review with an external expert on security and protective measures,” said the Italian: “As a result, we received a number of recommendations to ensure that all children and adults involved in professional tennis are safe and protected from abuse.” (sid/fe)
