The Pampean Basketball Federation approved its statute and is the first in the country to adapt it to the CAB

At the headquarters of Ferro Carril Oeste in General Pico, the Extraordinary Assembly of FEPAMBA (Pampean Basketball Federation) was held and there, with the unanimous vote of all the clubs that comprise it, the new statute was approved.

This new statute goes hand in hand with the one already presented by the Argentine Basketball Confederation (CAB) in accordance with the FIBA ONE regulations. In this way, FEPAMBA becomes the first federation in the country to take this step. The mixed meeting also had the presence of Andrés Gil Domínguez, CAB’s legal adviser.

“It is an important step for our operation, administratively and in management. We left behind an obsolete statute that was of no use. It is also one more step in the consolidation of the work and in the continuous search to do things well for basketball in the province”highlighted Germán Ordóñez, president of FEPAMBA.

And I add: “Being the first province to have the new appropriate statute is very valuable and comforts us. We have been doing a great job of reorganizing with modernization and massification programs, supporting mini-basketball, the development league and women’s basketball. All this underpinned by the accompaniment of the CAB. There is a great work team that allows things to be achieved”.

Through the FIBA ONE model, the CAB statute acquired normative force and direct application to all basketball instances. It featured four reviews by FIBA’s legal area, a broad discussion of all the federations with internal debate and a series of explanatory and interactive meetings throughout the country.

Some of the highlights are:

• The right to non-discrimination.
• The best interests of the child and adolescent.
