MLB and the Players Union did not reach an agreement on the new collective agreement and Rob Manfred has already announced that the first two series of the 2022 season have been canceled.
As expected, reactions have already begun on social networks about the situation that will prevent major league baseball from starting on March 31 as planned.

Caleb and I will be ready whenever the call comes. Hope this brings a smile to some who might be disappointed right now. Baseball is still awesome. Was watching little league yesterday. Awesome! Been practicing with high school kids. Awesome! Baseball isn’t the problem. pic.twitter.com/uzJNUacEaV

FWIW MLB has pumped to the media last night & today that there’s momentum toward a deal. Now saying the players tone has changed. So if a deal isn’t done today it’s our fault. This isn’t a coincidence. We’ve had the same tone all along. We just want a fair deal/to play ball.

To the fans we will miss you most. To the younger generation of baseball players, this is for you.

FANS…this man doesn’t care about any of y’all. Don’t get it twisted. The players are ready to perform, compete, and interact with all of you! However, Manfred has been ruining our game while playing puppet boy to the owners. That’s a fact. We remain ready and anxious to play! ???? https://t.co/M9x6LBdBlv

COVID shortened season then a COVID affected season. Now we get screwed out of baseball because millionaires and billionaires wouldn’t negotiate. Didn’t they learn anything from the 94/95 strike? @MLB @MLBPA @espn @MLBNetwork @MLBONFOX #MLB #baseball
