Like a trial run, before the exit from the ground of the future Liffré gymnasium a priori in March 2023, the Dojo pays de Lamballe (DPL) and its president, Georges Koch, were entrusted for the first time in its history with the organization of a departmental judo championship.
A winning bet, since more than 120 judokas, in an indescribable atmosphere, in the presence of a hundred spectators, valiantly competed, Saturday February 26, 2022, at the Espace Murigneux, in Lamballe-Armor (Cotes-d’Armor) on the occasion of the Departmental individual cadets in the morning, and benjamins-minimes by teams in the afternoon.
Results that meet expectations
Among the 170 licensees of the DPL, 21 young judokas took part in these competitions. And thanks to the encouragement of their teacher Achraf Khirallah, the results lived up to the expectations of an entire club: champions of the Côtes-d’Armor and qualified for the Regionals to be played on March 20 in Saint-Erblon (Ille-et- Vilaine), we find the youngest Romane Madec in the under 52 kg, and the youngest Faustin Olichet in less than 50 kg. The minimal lamballaise team also won the title and the youngest won the bronze medal.
For their part, in the Brittany Cup, Sunday February 27, in Concarneau, the minimal judoka Amandine Letaconnoux won the trophy and her partner Elvire Courte climbed on the 3rd step of the podium.
