A high-flying badminton tournament

Cusset. A high level badminton tournament. The Badminton club can be proud of having organised, this weekend, an important tournament with nearly 300 players, including some of the French top 30, with 530 matches spread over three halls, i.e. 16 pitches in total. It is the most important tournament of its kind in the department and the 2 e in level terms, from the west of the AuRa region.

The results

Elite Men’s Singles: Paul Tournefier (34 e French) won against Samson Cyprien.

Elite Men’s Doubles: Louka Le Coq/Reboul and Marius Alexandre win against Thomas Maury (52nd in France) and Mathieu Perrin.

Mixed elite: the duo Thomas Maury and Julie Manaranche (24th in France) wins against Vincent Rousselot and Noémie Poulbot.

Thomas Maury and Julie Manaranche are quarter-finalists in the French championship.

The competitors from the local club also did well with the finalists: in mixed series 3, Brice Fradier and Céline Zagorski; in mixed series 4, Camille Gournier Camille and Rémi Lafais; in men’s singles series 3: Cédric Hételle.
