The Indonesian national team is targeted to qualify for the upcoming 2023 Asian Cup.
INDOSPORT.COM – The coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, confirmed that his target was to qualify for the 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers to be played next June. He also already has a plan about the players who will be brought to the event.
Shin Tae-yong said the opportunity for the Indonesian national team was still open to the main round of the Asian Cup next year. The reason is, each qualifying group sends two representatives, namely the champion and runner-up.
In the 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers, Indonesia is in Group A with Jordan, Kuwait and Nepal. Shin Tae-yong realizes that this is not an easy task, but he is sure that the Garuda squad can overcome it.
“The Asian Cup is indeed our target to qualify from the group even though it is through the second best ranking scheme,” said the South Korean coach.
