Vogo creates a consortium to detect concussions in sport

Better prevent and detect concussions on sports fields, for professionals, amateurs and young people. This is the objective of the consortium created by sportech Vogo, which specializes in audio and video solutions for spectators and professionals. “Few concussion detection and monitoring tools exist on the market, even though it is a public health issue,” said Christophe Carniel, CEO of Vogo. The programme, which will run for four years, is seeking around €20 million in medium-term funding.

It relies on the world of research: the Sys2Diag laboratory (CNRS-Alcen) for medical diagnosis, modeling of the impacts of the Institute of Human Biomechanics Georges Charpak, the expertise in neurosurgery of Professor Philippe Decq at the Beaujon hospital with the epidemiology and biostatistics department of Bichat hospital, as well as neuropsychology and cognitive neurosciences of the Psitec laboratories in Lille and VAC in Paris.
