Like the case of the ITF, the International Judo Federation (IJF) has announced that all Russian and Belarusian judokas are allowed to take part in competitions under its supervision.
The IJF communicated this Wednesday evening that «Any drastic decision to hinder the participation of athletes in sports competitions would only continue the escalation of violence and fuel the feeling of injustice for the athletes who have not participated in any decision concerning the conflict. We cannot condemn the athletes for what is happening”.
Certainly, the position of the IJF is the same taken by the International Gymnastics Federation, which has banned the flags and anthems of Russia and Ukraine during its competitions.
In addition, the IJF has canceled all its competitions in Russia, including the Kazan Grand Slam.
