A difficult issue arises around the badminton matches between Duinwijck and Dropshot on 12 and 13 March. The Russian Natalia Perminova plays for the opponent in The Hague. It is currently unclear whether she is part of the boycott against Russian athletes.

Badminton Netherlands has been asked for a statement about her position and whether a starting ban may be announced for her. Duinwijck chairman Elvira Denteneer: ,,Apart from the statement, we believe that no individual player should be the victim of this situation and that she should be allowed to play.”

Duinwijck will have to wait for the statement from the association and from sports umbrella organization NOC NSF. Dropshot also awaits the statement.
