Super Mega Baseball 3 announced for April 2020

Super Mega Baseball is a franchise bursting with personality. Where many other franchises nail realism and resemblance to reality, Metalhead Software has proven in the past that they’re here to make the old ball game fun, and they’re ready to do it again with Super Mega Baseball 3 , if so game launches… not until next month in April 2020!

Metalhead Software shared the announcement trailer for Super Mega Baseball 3 via their YouTube channel on March 11, 2020. Set for release in April 2020, the Super Mega Baseball 3 announcement trailer is packed with all the over-the-top gameplay players could expect from the franchise at this point, plus then some. Many a bat breaks, many an opposing team is taunted, and only one gets the clock clean with a fastball. In addition to the hijinks, the announcement trailer takes some time to show new games on the field, including tries for pickoffs. Metalhead is also promising a robust new franchise mode for this iteration of the game. You can check out the full-action trailer below.

Super Mega Baseball 2 fills a need for more light-hearted baseball games, not unlike the fun, over-the-top natures of SNK arcade hit Baseball Stars or the lighter antics of Backyard Baseball. The strategy is still there and Super Mega Baseball 3 promises to deepen it more than ever, but it also doesn’t look like its trademark humorous personality on the way to becoming a more robust baseball game.

We’re happy to announce that we’ve been following the Super Mega Baseball series after thoroughly enjoying what Super Mega Baseball 2 has in store for us in our Share RSS Review. We have no doubt that Metalhead Studios will once again deliver, making their franchise a worthwhile game for baseball fans and casual gamers alike.

Scheduled for April 2020, Super Mega Baseball 3 will be available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and will feature full cross-platform play support.
