Ligue 1: Kolo-Muani will leave Nantes for Frankfurt at the end of the season

It was in tune with the times, the French striker born in Bondy, Randal Kolo-Muani will leave FC Nantes at the end of this season. Eintracht Frankfurt has indeed formalized the arrival of Nantes’ top scorer, in Ligue 1, this season. Kolo-Muani will sign free in Germany, since his contract with the Canary club expires next June. The international hope has signed with the German club until 2027.

Nantes thus sees its striker leave for free, which obviously represents a real disappointment. Negotiations for the extension of his contract have indeed failed. Discussions around salary have been a problem. Kolo-Muani is paid around 20,000 euros a month and hasn’t gotten the raise he wanted.

Frankfurt is already rubbing its hands…

For Markus Krösche, sporting director of Eintracht Frankfurt, the signing of the Nantes striker is excellent news. He reacted to this formalization: “Kolo Muani will bring us the quality we needed for our game. He is lively, robust and versatile, which will give us even more tactical solutions for next season. »

The Nantais, present at the club since 2015, will have the opportunity to open his record on May 8, during the final of the Coupe de France, against Nice. Playing his first professional match in 2018 with the club eight times champion of France, he is currently having his best career season on an individual level (10 goals and 5 assists in all competitions) and on a collective level, Nantes occupying the seventh rank within 4 points of a European place.
