The game scheduled for Sunday between 1. FSV Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund cannot take place as planned. The match will be postponed because Mainz does not have the minimum number of players required by the DFL rules of the game due to positive corona findings.
The game is rescheduled for Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
A total of 13 Mainz players are affected by the corona virus, as Christian Heidel announced at the press conference on Friday. “Twelve from the squad of licensed players and one player who would have moved up immediately, who is also in training with the professional team, but is not currently in the official squad.”
