Final Groups of Little League Classic to be Decided This Weekend

Little League Classic Playoffs: The Final Countdown Begins

Excitement is building as the Little League Baseball Classic Playoffs reach their climax. This weekend, the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center will host a pivotal event: the declaration of the ten teams advancing to the regular season, set to commence on Sunday, August 13th.

Over the course of February, forty teams battled it out in qualifying rounds held across the Dominican Republic. From the juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center to Manny Acta Stadium in Consuelo, San Pedro de Macorís, the Municipal stadium of La Vega, and the comemoro Stadium of san Juan, young athletes showcased their skills and determination.

Now, the competition intensifies as the final ten teams prepare to face off.In the Villa Mella Metros group, the Banana Academy and Los Discípulos League will vie for a coveted spot. The Bravos del Sur group will witness a showdown between the José Cornielle de Ocoa and Ramón Figueroa de Villa Altagracia Leagues. Meanwhile, the Cangrejeros del Este group will see the Guerreros de Dios (Higüey) and Víctor Brook (La Romana) teams clash.

The reyes de la Capital group will feature a matchup between the Rafael Arias and Banco Central teams. In the Marineros de Villa Duarte group, La Javilla Academy will take on La Marina, while the Estudiantes group will see the Enrique Cruz and Club Naco Leagues face off.

The Halcones de Santiago group promises a thrilling encounter between the Victorino and Manny Baseball leagues. The Guerreros del Cibao group will witness a battle between the Pedro López de Moca and La Vega Prospects. the Indios Orientales group will see the Other Level Leagues and Norma Díaz vying for supremacy.

Adding to the anticipation, this Saturday morning will determine the team joining the marcos Soto League to represent the Olympic Astros. The Quezada and Miranda Leagues will compete for this honor.

the official opening ceremony of the Little League Classic is scheduled for Sunday, August 13th, featuring a game between the combined Estudiantes and Astros teams. The event will be broadcast nationally on CDN Deportes and streamed live on the Classic’s YouTube channel, with support from sponsors Betcris, Gatorade, Logomarca, and CDN Deportes.

The tournament will be divided into two groups: Metropolitano and Nacional. The Metropolitano group will consist of the Marineros, Indios, Metros, Reyes, and Estudiantes teams, while the Nacional group will feature the bravos, Halcones, Guerreros, Cangrejeros, and Astros.

Pedro Martinez: Oh, there are so many exciting duels! The Banana Academy has consistently produced strong players, so their clash with Los Discípulos will be a treat. And don’t underestimate the heart of the kids from Ocoa and Villa Altagracia – they always bring the fight.
