Still on track in four tables this Friday at the Slovakia Open, listed as “future series”, the Alsatians all disappeared during the 3e day of this ”future series” tournament and will therefore miss the last one, that of the semi-finals and finals, this Saturday.
Only Malya Hoareau (ASPTT Strasbourg) and Camille Pognante (Red Star Mulhouse) escaped elimination in the round of 16. Mulhousien Rafael Gavois’ fine run, coming out of qualifying, thus came to an end after four victories against the Taiwanese Chia Hao Lee, seeded n°2 and clear winner 21-13, 21-11.
Admitted to the quarters after an epic duel against the Polish Zuzanna Jankowska and Joanna Podedworny in 8is (24-22, 28-26), the M. Hoareau/C. Pognante couldn’t do anything against Japan’s Rui Hirokami and Yuna Kato, seeded 7 (13-21, 11-21).
