Hartwall, one of Finland’s largest beverage manufacturers, announced on Wednesday that it had ended its marketing partnership with the hall and had its logo withdrawn from it.
The reason is that the multifunctional arena is partly owned by Russian businessmen Roman Rotenberg and Gennady Timchenko, who are on the European Union’s sanctions list after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“The war started by Russia is an irrational and punishable act. We are no longer cooperating in marketing with the Helsinki hall due to the Russian military action. In the future, the arena will not bear the name Hartwall and our logo has already been removed from the arena, “said Kalle Järvinen, CEO.
