There are two catch-up games for the Sartorius Youngters of BG Göttingen in the youth basketball Bundesliga (JBBL/U16) this weekend: After the game at the Sharks Hamburg on Friday evening at 7 p.m., the team of Youngsters head coach Marjo Heinemann is on Saturday at 11 a.m o’clock at the SC Rist Wedel. The games had been postponed because of the hurricane.

The Sartorius Juniors are also challenged away from home in the youth basketball Bundesliga (NBBL/U19) at the weekend. Head coach Venelin Berov’s team will be visiting the Dresden Titans at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Due to the two away appearances on the Elbe, the youngsters are in quick succession at the end of the JBBL relegation group 1. Because the team from Göttingen can no longer take first place in the table, preparation for the playoffs has already begun with the game against the “Haie”. “It is important to keep the tension high and to consolidate our system,” Heinemann demands of his team in this regard.
Third-placed SC Rist Wedel is waiting for the youngsters on Saturday. Wedel is still fighting for the playoffs and is “an opponent who offered us an open exchange of blows in Göttingen,” emphasizes Heinemann. The youngsters narrowly won the game in the Sartorius Basketball Lab with a score of 84:77.
The Juniors travel to Dresden after a weekend break. In the NBBL relegation round north, the Berov protégés won the first leg in their own hall with 82:63. “The starting position is clear. Dresden is bottom of the table in the relegation round, so they need to win against us to keep their chances of not being relegated,” says Berov.
According to Berov, in order to consolidate the first place in the table, the game should be played quickly and aggressively. “We want to make quick, good and of course correct decisions at the right moments on offense and defense,” said the Juniors head coach.
