After a four-week break in the Euroleague, the FC Bayern basketball team suffered a defeat on Friday evening: Andrea Trinchieri’s team lost 88:98 (53:50) against the favorite guests from Olympiacos Piraeus. The crucial break in Bayern’s game came early in the third quarter when Vladimir Lucic was awarded a controversial fourth foul and spent several minutes on the bench. Corey Walden and Zan Mark Sisko later ended the game with five fouls. The Greeks won the final quarter with a focused offensive performance and 25 points. The best throwers for Bayern were Augustine Rubit (18) and Lucic (15). The next game in the Audi Dome takes place on Sunday, the Bundesliga game against Bamberg is coming up (6 p.m.).
