Juan Carlos Escobar has full knowledge of what the Lions of Caracas mean for Venezuelan sports and their idiosyncrasies.
In the last seven years he has been professionally linked to the franchise and has earned trust thanks to his continuous work. Before being named as president, he served as the team’s general manager.
The presidency of the Leones del Caracas was vacant since August of last year, after the death of engineer Luis Ávila.
During all that time, Juan Carlos Escobar closely followed the club’s performance during the 2021-2022 season. In addition, he was involved with the structuring of the team that managed to qualify for the round robin in third place in the regular round, with a positive record of 26-23.
From now on, the new president will represent the Leones del Caracas in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) and will have all the responsibilities and powers attached to the position.
Juan Carlos Escobar is an economist graduated from the Central University of Venezuela. He is 51 years old and has lived with the Leones del Caracas since the passion of the fanatic.
The organization hopes that along with his arrival and work, the great achievements of the most winning team in the history of Venezuelan baseball will also return.
