– Murray still has a lot to offer:
“He is playing at a great level and I know he is working very hard to try to get back to his best level. I don’t know what things have changed from his best time in tennis, but he seems to be in very good shape and if he continues at this level sooner or later he will manage to resemble the Murray we all know. This year he has managed to reach the final of the tournament in Sydney. Will he be able to return to the top 50 or the top 20? “If he rests well, he can still beat most guys on tour. But if he wants to get into the top 20, he has to do it for 10 or 12 weeks a year and I don’t know if his body can handle that. Murray is a great guy.” An incredible person and professional. What he has achieved in the toughest era of tennis is unbelievable. It’s a shame that he has coincided with players like Federer, Nadal and Djokovic.”
– Will you get a good result in an important tournament?
“He still finds the desire to be able to do something great and he likes the challenge. Years ago his goal was to win Grand Slams. He has won three. He has also won two Olympic golds, he has won some Masters 1000 and he has managed to be number one in the world. “Now his challenge is to get this back with a metal hip. I think Murray is going to surprise us.”
