Roger Federerwho has been out of the circuit for eight months due to knee problems, is confident that he will be able to reappear late in the current season, perhaps “late summer“, and would not be in Wimbledonas stated by the tennis player this Saturday in an interview on Swiss television.
“I’m doing well, much better. For two months I moved on crutches. It was long and I had to start from scratch. But it was the right thing. The knee was not going well after Wimbledon“, explained the Swiss to the public channel SRF in Lenzerheide, where he went to attend a stage of the Alpine Ski World Cup.
Federer He specified that a few weeks ago he underwent medical tests that make him “very positive” about his future.
“Now I’m slowly getting to a stage where I can think of the return“said the former world number one, adding that he still needs a little time before reappearing” at the end of the summer or beginning of the (boreal) autumn.
