Rocked the cup, it’s stalling in the promotion race!
After the semi-finals against Karlsruhe in the cup on Wednesday (5:4 nE), HSV stumbled in the 2nd division. The 2-1 defeat in Nuremberg is the third winless game in a row.

Meanwhile, Tim Handwerker lets Nürnberger dream of promotion again: In the 88th minute, his shot from almost 20 meters away resulted in the second HSV defeat in a row!
Köpke puts the club in the lead (15′), but HSV comes back into play first: Jatta goes steeply, lays down on Reis and he snaps to make it 1-1 (25′).
The battle for promotion is getting tighter for HSV: after losing to Nuremberg and losing 3-2 in the North Derby against Werder last weekend, HSV is now six points behind leaders Darmstadt and local rivals St. Pauli (both 47 points).
