Today the open European judo tournament starts in the Czech capital Prague.
Six fighters from the Azerbaijan Judo Federation will take part in the competition, AZERTAC reported.
Aydan Valiyeva, Aisha Gurbanli (48 kg), Sabina Aliyeva (52 kg), Fidan Alizade (57 kg), Aytaj Gardaschkhanli (63 kg) and Sudaba Agayeva (70 kg) will fight for medals for Azerbaijan.
More than 500 athletes (360 men, 229 women) from 42 countries will take part in the two-day tournament.
