Nezahualcoyotl, Edomex. – The national professional basketball team Fabian Jaimesattended as a special guest the inauguration of the First Basketball Academy Neza Giantswhere it is expected that new talents will emerge, such as the outstanding Nezatlan in this sport.
During the announcement of the Municipal Basketball Academy, the mayor Adolfo Cerqueda Rebollo He stressed that in the local territory there are many people who are looking for professional training.
In addition, this type of space seeks to promote recreation and family life through sports, where children and young people have the opportunity to stand out like many other outstanding sports representatives from Nezahualcóyotl.
Fabián Jaimes started playing basketball at the age of six in the Nezahualcóyotl sports complex where his height and strength made him stand out.
His talent allowed him to obtain a sports scholarship for the Universidad de las Américas Puebla, where he studied Administration and in 2013, at the age of 21, he won the national university championship, being named the best player of the tournament.
Fabián Jaimes fulfilled his dream by leaving the cement courts of this town. “It’s always a source of pride and it’s nice to represent Mexico and represent Neza, where I’m from.”
On the other hand, the mayor announced that this year they will seek to recover 27 spaces that are in the municipality, some abandoned and others in the hands of individuals, and convert them into suitable places for sports practice.
Finally, he commented that they be signed during this year with schools or academies of soccer, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, swimming, roller hockey, among others, in order to promote and have places for recreation and family life.
