28 supporters of NAC Breda misbehaved on Friday evening in Valkenburg (Limburg) and were sent home for the match against MVV. That’s what the police report. One of the supporters was arrested for not being able to show identification.
NAC took on MVV on Friday evening and won the match 1-2, but not every supporter of the away club was able to get that. “At the end of the afternoon there were reports about the group in question that they behaved quite aggressively in Valkenburg and that they were out for a confrontation with MVV supporters,” the police statement said.
The mayor of Valkenburg has subsequently issued an emergency order to leave the municipality. ‘Then the group of supporters wanted to travel to Maastricht, but the police and the police were able to prevent this. In the end, the supporters chose eggs for their money and they were brought back to Breda by bus under the supervision of the riot police. Thanks to the cooperation with the municipality and the police, this went without violence.’
Thanks to goals from Naoufal Bannis and Odysseus Velanas, NAC won 1-2, Edwin de Graaf’s team is in ninth place in the Kitchen Champion Division. The gap to number eight Roda JC is four points.
