► Anthony Losilla (35): No other player runs more than he does this season. Only Wolfsburg’s Arnold and Frankfurt’s Sow rip off more meters across the league. Also against Fürth (2:1) winning goalscorer “Toto” Losilla was the best VfL runner (11.6 km).
Hard to believe: Losilla will be 36 in four days and only recently extended his contract until 2023. Coach Thomas Reis (48): “I don’t care if he can still play until 40!” He even compares Losilla with model athlete Cristiano Ronaldo (37): Despite his age, Losilla works conscientiously like a machine in every training session.
► Sebastian Polter (30): Not a man for filigree movements, but felt involved in every collision. Nobody crams so tirelessly and rips the fans out of their seats like Polter. Against Fürth, the attacker also got the free kick before the 1-0. Indicative of Polter’s style: No player in the league commits more fouls (49). By the way, Losilla ranks fourth in the statistics with 37 fouls.
