SANTIAGO.- The representative squad of the Patronato Nani Marrero defeated Club Miguel Ángel Garrido del Ensanche Espaillat on Sunday 125-117 in the closing of the semifinal of the Santiago youth basketball tournament.
The winners worked hard to be able to win their third ticket in a row to the final series of basketball in the minor categories in Santiago. They now have ten wins and zero losses.
Those led by the duo of son and father José Alejandro Pimentel (Vantrol) and René Pimentel had five players who scored double figures in points to obtain the last pass available to the final series of the event, led by Yorwillis Ramos with 33 points, escorted by Yohanser García (El Gato) with 27 units, Yomalfry Monegro (Chacho) 21 points, Robinson Ortega (Valanchito) and Denny Santos contributed 15 points each.
