March Madness 2022: when does it start, schedule, teams and venues

There is a week left until the ‘Selection Sunday’ that defines the crossings for the ‘March Madness’ where several universities will seek to achieve the NCAA college basketball title in the United States.

Thus, At AS USA we decided to leave you with a small agenda of everything you need to know before the ‘March madness’ starts. The dates of the meetings, the venues, as well as the favorite universities to rise as champions.

Dates and Venues

The ‘Selection Sunday’ will take place on Sunday March 13, while the First Four will be held between March 15 and 16. The first and second rounds will take place between March 17 and 20.

The ‘Sweet 16’ and ‘Elite Eight’ round will take place between March 24-27. Finally, the Final Four will be played between April 2 and 4. Here we leave you the most important dates and venues.

Gonzaga, the favorite (+400), currently ranks as the No. 1 team in college basketball, but the Bulldogs are coming off an upset loss to St. Mary’s. Gonzaga is one of the top six teams in the AP poll, providing plenty of parity at the top of the standings.

Two other teams that start as some of the favorites to win the championship are the University of Kentucky (+800), the University of Arizona (+800), Purdue (+1,000), Auburn (+1,000), Duke (+1,200), Kansas (+1,400), Baylor (+1,800), UCLA (+2,000), and Vilanova (+2000).
