The 2020 US Open winner has once again delayed his return to competition.
Austrian Dominic Thiem, absent from the circuit due to a wrist injury since June, postponed his return on Monday when he was expected this week in Indian Wells, and is now aiming for the European season on clay.
«I rested very well these weeks, the wrist is perfectly fine, the hand is getting better and better, but I still decided to give up Indian Wells (March 10-20) and Miami (March 23-April 3) to resume on clay. It’s still the surface where I feel the best, so it will be perfect to resume“, announces the 28-year-old Austrian on his Instagram account.
