Harry Kane’s pair of goals against Everton took him to a record. The Tottenham Hotspur striker surpassed Thierry Henry’s number of goals in the Premier League.

Harry Kane contributed two goals, when Tottenham won 5-0 over Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Tuesday (8/3/2022) early morning WIB. In the Premier League match, Michael Keane’s own goal opened the scoring for Tottenham, plus goals from Son Heung-min and Sergio Reguilon.

With these two goals, Harry Kane has now surpassed the record of legendary Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, in the Premier League’s all-time top scorer list. He has collected 176 goals, one goal ahead of Henry who recorded a total of 175 goals.

Kane also now ranks sixth on the list and sticks to Chelsea legend Frank Lampard. Lampard scored 177 goals while playing in the Premier League, a record that is definitely just a matter of time for Harry Kane to pass.

Alan Shearer still topped the list with 260 goals, followed by Wayne Rooney (208), Andy Cole (187) and Sergio Aguero (184).

“It’s all about maximizing chances and I’m always confident I can hit targets. I always try to keep the ball low. Hard work and practice, there’s no special secret,” Harry Kane told reporters. Sky Sportsreported BBC.

“Thierry (Henry) is one of the best strikers we’ve ever seen, so to get past him in the top scorer list is nice and hopefully the goals will keep coming.”
