Atlético Nacional fell 1-3 at home against Deportes Tolima and their outlook is complex in the 2022 Women’s League. The purslane were outclassed by their rivals, who were precise in attack and managed to make a difference throughout the match. The goals of the Ibaguereñas were from Génesis Daniela Guarnizo, Laura Viviana Tamayo and Paola Constante, for the locals, scored by Mariana Sastoque.
From the beginning, Atlético Nacional went out looking for the result, after the away defeats against Llaneros and Real Santander. At minute 2, a header by Lina Martínez that passed near the Tolima goal. Four minutes later, Lorena Bedoya with a shot from medium distance, sent the ball near the vertical of the visitor’s goal.
However, Deportes Tolima took the lead in the 12th minute, through Genesis Daniela Guarnizo, who took advantage of a corner kick and on the far post, the visiting player made a difference.
After the goal, Nacional went on the offensive, at minute 21, a cross from Kelly Quiceno almost equalized. At 34, Lady Andrade, who returned to the team after the suspension, through a free throw, barely scored. A minute later, Quiceno, through a low shot, approached the purslane.
The first half ended with intensity in the midfield and possession of the ball shared between both teams. Nacional had a couple of clear actions, against a Tolima that managed the positive result. In injury time, Guarnizo demanded the local goalkeeper, Micheel Rengifo with a powerful shot with his right leg against the post of his right leg.
In the complementary stage, Nacional went out to find the tie, two minutes passed for Kelly Quiceno to approach the purslane with a shot that managed to contain the Tolima defense. At minute 6, the player Elizabeth Carabalí, again Quiceno, was cautioned, this time at minute 15 and through a free kick she approached the locals, but the ball hit the vertical.
Despite the insistence of Nacional, at minute 21 Tolima’s second goal came, through Laura Viviana Tamayo, through a free kick shot, which dislodged goalkeeper Rengifo. It was not until the 28th minute that Mariana Sastoque discounted for the purslane, after taking advantage of a free kick and grabbing a rebound outside the rival area.
At minute 43, Paola Constante took advantage of a bad rejection by the Nacional goalkeeper to score the third goal for Tolima from mid-range, which sentenced the match in favor of the visitors. The purslane remain unconvinced and add three defeats in four disputed dates.
On the next date, the women’s Atlético Nacional will visit América in Cali, while Deportes Tolima receives Atlético Bucaramanga in Ibagué.
