The French men’s team won the European Indoor Championship in Lasko, Slovenia. Thomas Chirault, 24, Jean-Charles Valladont, 32 and Clément Jacquey, 22, clinched the French’s first indoor European title since 2008, following the 2017 silver medal. Les Bleus beat Belarus 6-0 in the final, with 17 arrows out of 18 in the center (60-57, 60-59, 59-58).
The French (Lisa Barbelin, 21, Mélanie Gaubil, 24, and Anaëlle Florent, 20) lost in the match for the bronze medal, against Russia (4-5).
Individually, Lisa Barbelin will be in the final on Sunday, against the Italian Vanessa Landi. The men’s final will be 100% French between Jean-Charles Valladont and Clément Jacquey.
