The Latvian basketball player has also represented the Yaroslavl “Burevestnik” and Vladivostok “Spartak Primorje” teams in the Super League. In Latvia, Rēzekne has played for “Ventspils”, “VEF Rīga”, “Valmieras”, “Barons kvartāls”, Liepāja and Jūrmala teams.
Butjankovs has played six games for the Latvian national team, in which he scored an average of 6.2 points.
