The saga is finally over. Excluded against Beerschot last Wednesday, Noë Dussenne had first received a proposal of four games of suspension, including one suspended. After going before the Disciplinary Committee last Friday, the sanction was reduced to two games, one of which was suspended. Finally, the Standard had again appealed against this decision on Sunday morning, which allowed the defender of the Rouches to be aligned against Charleroi on Sunday afternoon. But this time, the penalty remained the same.
Noë Dussenne will therefore miss the Liège derby against Seraing.
The last appeal from Liège therefore had this Tuesday, before the Disciplinary Council. The lawyer from Liège, Maître Bouchat, put forward several elements. “If we look at the action, the first fault is that of Mr. Vaca, who retains Mr. Dussenne”specifies the Liège council. “The latter does not even look at his opponent and does not change the trajectory of his race. At no time does he make an intentional gesture towards his opponent. In addition, the criminal record was retained as an aggravating circumstance while he has been expelled three times in his ten-year career but never for violent behavior. This record is rather in his favour. We ask you to consider the exclusion more than sufficient. No additional sanctions should be imposed. And if it does is the case, it must be a reprieve”
Noë Dussenne, he recalled that his gesture was not at all voluntary. “Being sent off so early in the game, in the 55th minute, was already a tough penalty. I’m not a mean player, I’ve never played with my elbows. I think you know me: I’m a gentleman in the field.”
