The Los Angeles Lakers were defeated 117-100 by the Spurs on Monday in the NBA and once again all eyes were on Russell Westbrook.
The star base had strong words after the game, in which he recounted the bad time he and his family are going through due to all the comments and insults he receives in each commitment.
“We have reached a point where the whole issue is affecting my family. Personally, I don’t mind receiving criticism if I have a bad game, but when they disrespect me and that affects my family, it becomes a problem and It’s something I can’t allow,” Westbrook said at the news conference.
“My family isn’t enjoying going to games anymore and it’s really unfortunate as I feel blessed to have the opportunity to play the sport I love so much, but having my name and legacy disrespected is terrible as I haven’t I’m not hurting anyone nor am I mistreating anyone, I’m just playing basketball,” he said.
The Lakers are ninth in the Western Conference with a record of 28 wins and 36 losses.
