Is the Malaysian men’s doubles pair, Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik, who had to withdraw from the German Open 2022 ,.
The difficult decision was taken after Soh Wooi Yik tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the German Open 2022 on March 8-13.
The confirmation of Chia/Soh’s withdrawal from the German Open 2022 was announced by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) on Monday (7/3/2022).

Chia/Soh actually became one of the favorites in the Super 300 level tournament.
They are the second seed in the German Open 2022 after the men’s doubles world champions from Japan, Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi.
The German Open 2022 was originally expected to be the stage for Chia/Soh to win their first Open tournament.
