Former goalkeeper of KRC Genk makes a big impression in Ligue 1

The goalkeeper who was under the bar at KRC Genk from 2014 to 2017 was one of the stars in the Ligue 1 last weekend. Always nice when players who passed in our league perform well abroad. Marco Bizot is fully engaged in this.

After the Dutchman went through a large part of his youth academy at Ajax and then passed in review with the big boys at Cambuur, Groningen, Genk and AZ, Bizot decided to leave the Low Countries. Since the summer of 2021, the single international has been defending Brest’s goal.

Bizot is doing excellent there for the time being. He previously excelled against PSG. That was the case again last Saturday, when Brest visited Lens. The home team had much more ball possession, but encountered the strong goalkeeper Bizot up to five times.

As a reward, he received a nice 8 as a rating in The Team, which also named him goalkeeper in the team of the week. The biggest reward, however, was the win, as Brest took the three points on the field of Lens. It became 0-1. It is twelfth in Ligue 1 after 27 match days with 35 points.
