Housed in the Sahara Conference group of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2022, AS Salé is playing its second match, this Wednesday, March 9. The Moroccan club will challenge the Mozambicans of Ferroviario Beira, at 9 p.m. GMT, in the lair of Dakar Arena.
The objective for AS Salé, Moroccan champions, is to recover from their defeat against the Rwandans of Energy Group (87 – 91), during the first day of the BAL. This is the only condition necessary for the Moroccans, if they do not already want to compromise their chance of qualifying for the final phase.
While AS Salé will play their second game tonight, their opponent Ferroviario Beira is preparing to play their third match. During its two outings, the Mozambique club won against Senegal’s Dakar University Club (98 – 92), and recorded a defeat (77 -71) against Tunisia’s US Monastirienne.
The last confrontation between AS Salé and Ferroviario Beira dates from December 18, 2017. It was the Moroccan club that won with a score of 92 to 63.
