(Sandy Walsh and Jordi Amat will soon join the Indonesian National Team)
Having Indonesian blood, Sandy Walsh has been openly interested in defending the Indonesian national team since 2017. However, it was only at the end of 2021 that the 26-year-old fullback’s desire slowly became apparent.
Currently, together with two other descendants, namely Jordi Amat and Shayne Pattynama, the Indonesian government is currently working on the naturalization process for Sandy Walsh. The plan is that today the naturalization documents of the three names above have arrived at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights for a meeting.
It is hoped that Sandy Walsh and his friends will be able to take part when the Indonesian national team is in the third round of the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification. Because, in the event which will take place on 8-14 June 2022, the Indonesian national team will be joined by three strong countries, namely Jordan, Kuwait and Nepal.
